H.E. Nataša Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia joins the Council
We are pleased to announce that H.E. Nataša Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia, has joined the Council of Women World Leaders. Her Excellency is the first woman to be elected President in Slovenia’s history.
President Pirc Musar began her career as a journalist and television presenter, becoming a prominent voice in Slovenian media. Her work in broadcasting laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to transparency, public dialogue, and open communication—principles that continue to shape her approach to leadership.
Following her media career, she transitioned into law and public service, where she became Slovenia’s first Information Commissioner. Throughout her career, she has combined legal expertise with a deep understanding of the media landscape to advocate for access to information, government accountability, and informed civic participation.
We are honored to welcome her to the Council. Her unique path from journalism to the presidency reflects the diverse experiences that women bring to leadership, and her commitment to open, transparent governance aligns powerfully with the Council’s mission to advance women’s leadership on the global stage.
