H.E. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, President of the Republic of North Macedonia Joins the Council

We are pleased to announce that H.E. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, President of the Republic of North Macedonia, has joined the Council of Women World Leaders. Her Excellency is the first woman elected as President of North Macedonia, marking a historic milestone in the country’s democratic journey. 

President Siljanovska-Davkova brings extensive experience in public service, law, and education. Prior to her presidency, she served as a Member of Parliament, Minister without Portfolio for European Integration, and as a constitutional law professor at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She has advised on legal and institutional reform both domestically and internationally, and is widely recognized for her work in strengthening democratic governance and the rule of law.

Her commitment to democratic principles, transparency, and gender equality aligns closely with the mission of the Council: to promote good governance and increase the number and effectiveness of women in the highest positions of leadership.
